Final Days Down South
Ocean Tramp – Mike Reyfman
We are back to Shetland Islands and tomorrow will have to hug our amazing crew and say goodbye to the Ocean Tramp, which was our home away from home for past two weeks.
In last couple of days, we had amazing landings on Half Moon island with prolific colony of Chinstrap Penguins and at Yankee Harbor were we photographed Gentoo penguins and Elephant Seals.
Gentoos and Chinstraps all have chicks and we were observing touchy relationship between adults and babies.
One of the highlights was a small group of Elephant seals at Yankee harbor. On the second day we found two young bulls playing in the icy water. They were practicing in fighting, preparing themselves for adult life.
