Ocean Tramp – Passengers and Crew have departed for Antarctica

After a few busy weeks of preparation, Ocean Tramp cast off her lines around midday and started her journey to Antarctica! All guests were welcomed onboard at 9am and given the opportunity to settle in to their cabins, enjoy a coffee and, no doubt a biscuit or two. The crew gave all necessary safety briefings and discussed the weather and the plan for our trip across the Drake Passage. The weather looks windy at Cape Horn but moderates as we tick down the 550 nm we are to run. Writing this, we are almost down the Beagle Channel ready to hang a right towards the Horn. Winds are moderate and spirits are high on board. Next stop Antarctica!
