Chicks are growing! Here at Yankee Harbor they are bigger than their counterparts at most other colonies – due to weather, snow, temperatures – a combo of all. That means the chicks here are the first we’ve encountered this year who are starting to explore the world – go beyond the rocky nest, test their limits! Exciting to watch this exploration! Think 2 and 3 years olds touching everything and asking “What’s that….. what’s that…. what’s that!?”
They must have been listening and watching us last night. We had a showing of Happy Feet onboard and these two chicks MUST have been watching – LOOK at their moves!
