“Antarctica Art Gallery”

Ladies and Gentlemen

Today, skippers LAURA and FEDERICO invite you to the opening of the exceptional

EXCEPTIONAL EXHIBITION on HANS HANSON GALLERY!

OPENING from 2 A.M. to 24 P.M.!

PROGRAM and MAP for visit:

In the enormous central room, a round sky is opening, where an incredible number of paintings hang:

– MOUNTAINS and OCEAN, ocean and mountains! DARK BLUE as Soulage , WHITE as Uttrillo , BLACK and WHITE like Mondrian, lot of waves, lot of white cliffs; also of course some exceptional sculptures , white ones, also white and azul or emerald , more or less transparent and brilliant like diamonds !

But listen well, Ladies and Gentlemen, TAKE YOU TIME and stay in this place as long as you feel like staying , or come often again ! Between 2 am to Midnight, you have time enough! And change the way you watch; because each hour, each point of view, the BIG POLAR MAGICIAN uses his magic stick and transforms his works of art!

And then, when you will be full of all these impressions, then push the small doors nearby ….

There on a beach, like an Dufy painting, a lot of very small characters, black and white with orange feet and beaks…. they look like penguins, some with views, many stone-nests, some with couples, other with chicks like down balls…

Over there the main sculpture is an iceberg with about 20 individuals moving there; and there a giant one with a cliff covered with over hundred sea-birds … you could nearly hear them or even smell them !

Over there a room with 2 big Botero sculptures, very smooth, immobile but alive …… 2 WEDDELL SEALS.

And alone lays a giant, which could be sculpture by Nikki de Saint Phalle …..but it is a LEOPARD SEAL !

Still two very small rooms:

One for some Sisley paintings, of small sailing boats, rare and tiny among the immensity of waves!

One for paintings with small paper-sticks like Matisse did, with one or two small huts, and one flat!

If you take really longer time, with all those impressions in your heart, like in a dream, like in an Aboriginal work of art, then open you eyes in the last largest room, and observe 360° around in the immensity blue, to watch here water thrown up, there a dark grey enormous back. And when you are lucky, the majestic black and white queue of a whale. Surprising yourself, those movies don’t look like Delacroix’s terrific sea paintings, but more like Degas with his opera and ballets paintings !

After 22 hours of being open, the Antarctic Gallery is clothing the golden hall with Mont des Français, reflecting on it the immense sunset ocean.

Close your eyes… Just keep all those impressions behind your eyelids closes… and if you like, in 2 hours, the Gallery will open hers doors again in another port in another bay , surrounded by immensity !
