At the moment I’m at work on the WG Columbus where we are in dry dock in Denmark. Two days ago I saw that the old Fishing vessel from Nova Scotia had moved and another taken its place. The boat looked quite odd – it clearly was not a fishing vessel nor a supply vessel – the most common vessel in port. Nor did it look like other offshore vessels – an anchor handling vessel or even a cargo ship or ferry. It had a helideck (not that normal( and it had a fairly open back deck. And a decently large crane. I went over and looked and saw sitting ahead of the Columbus, was another “explorer” boat – The Ernest Shackleton, one of the British Antarctic Survey Vessels.Cool!
