Why Fly-in Fly out?

in
Antarctic Expeditions

Why have we decided to offer fly-in fly out trips?

Many of our friends, family, friends of customers gave us two answers over and over again

  1. I do not have enough time to go to Antarctica on a yacht, but I do not want to go on a cruise ship.  Previously going to Antarctica meant at least a commitment of 25 days, plus travel, thus nearly a month.  That is a huge commitment for nearly everyone!  With the fly-in fly out option, the trip itself if 14 days, plus travel, its just a hair over 2 weeks  – nearly half the time for the same experience.  We think that is pretty great.
  2.  I want to go Antarctica, but I DO NOT WANT TO CROSS THE DRAKE.  We can’t tell you how many times we have heard this.  The Drake is not for everyone and we understand!  Flying across takes the fear and unknowns out and keeps the wilderness of Antarctica.  For those who still feel the need or urge to cross the Drake, we also offer options of flying one way and sailing the other way.  That way you still maintain some bragging rights.
