Today the Film crew went to explore the insides of the Island. Nico, the
main character, was guided by Leo, who knows the Island and explain him the
insides. When they came back I was waiting them all with a nice and hot
meal, very appreciated by all given the hail and cold wind falling at the
moment.
The afternoon was spent filming inside the boat, where the Captain (me) was
explaining how difficult it will be to get to the End of the World Light
House –it’s the script, although given the weather forecast it might be
true!. Then they filmed other scenes with Leo as well.
The weather is not looking good for tomorrow, but we might be able to leave
on Friday and make it to the Light House, and film the last few scenes still
left.
On different note, we are in contact with the scientist that we dropped
almost 2 weeks ago on a different side of the island, who we might pick up
on our way back to Ushuaia. As there are Rock Hopper penguin colonies on
that area the film crew will try to make some footage there as well.
Overall everyone is very happy and really enjoying the time. Same with us,
as having a film crew onboard is not only a new experience, but we are also
part of the main characters, so it’s a double nice new experience!
Tomorrow we plan to explore the entrance of Hoppner, where in the old time
was supposed to be a seal’s factory –we’ll see if we find any remains.
Dinner is roasted lamb with red wine! Then we have movie time (the new
projector is great!)

Full days!
By Sam and Bernadette Skies were overcast with warmer temperatures on our second day anchored at Vernadsky Station (day 13).
