A day in Puerto Toro: Exploring the southernmost village
A day in Puerto Toro: Preparing for the journey to Cape Horn”: Today we woke up in Puerto Williams and after breakfast we went to formalize the departure from Chile, we set sail for Puerto Toro arriving in mid-afternoon. Puerto Toro is a small fishing village that is further SE than Puerto Williams where about 50 people live, half of them uniformed from the navy, the army, etc. There we stood on deck talking with some neighbouring fishermen about the weather and the fishing, they had not gone out fishing because of the bad weather. At the end of the afternoon we settled the dingy on deck, had an excellent paella dinner, then a safety briefing was held and we prepared everything for tomorrow to go to the outskirts of Cape Horn. We are all eager to continue the journey south.
