Anchor up (the ocean Tramp alarm clock) in Whalers Bay – out we go through Neptunes Bellows – waving goodbye to neptunes window and the stark deserted rusting whaling station. Out into the ocean and past Baileys head with its massive penguin colony climbing to the sky- on we travel up past the coast of Livingstone Island escorted by a flock of Cape Petrels guiding our way – we pass multiple glaciers  – lunch en route – fish tacos – delicious ( Janey working her magic again ) – now we roll into Yankee Harbour with the wind increasing and we make a landing on Ice beach under the expert guidance of Eze-  Gentou penguins are everywhere [-the chicks are moulting and stand forlorn by the ridge edge sheltering from the wind and unable to wobble to the water as they would wish as their waterproof feathers have yet to grow- the stony beach is littered with glittering mini ice bergs – children of the massive glacier that cowers over the glacial spit- elephant seals lie like massive slugs at the end of the beach –

Back to the shelter of the Ocean Tramp for a spot of port –and a special treat of a movie – Snow Petrel – a voyage from 2005 to the other side of Antartica by one of the crew (Ben  tucker )then a round of cards before a sensational steak dinner as the winds rise but the anchor holds firm as we rock to sleep at the end of another magic day in Antartica
